Other Notes:

I used to be a lazy girl who’s never bothered to have a toner in my life.  But after I read that toner is important, I bought a toner which made me breakout (ironically it should be a toner with anti-acne purpose)I gave it a go for 3 months or less and I tried another toner…that doesn’t do a miracle for me. The trouble is now because it’s too hydrating and maybe, too thick for my oily skin.  Final result? It’s okay as a toner, a bit cooling effect, comfortable, cleanse well, but I think someone with dry skin would be more in need for this kind of toner.  And 30s or almost 30s ladies who already need some aging-prevention benefits

Here’s the website description about the toner:

Our certified organic range has been created for the first signs of ageing. It removes impurities and refreshes the skin without drying it out.

  • Removes the last traces of make-up and impurities

  • Tones without drying the skin

  • Primes skin for moisturiser

  • 98% of ingredients are of natural origin

Here’s the ingredients list:

Aqua (Solvent/Diluent), Hamamelis Virginiana Water (Astringent), Glycerin (Humectant), Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative), Sodium Levulinate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sucrose Laurate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Sodium Anisate (Fragrance Ingredient), Xanthan Gum (Viscosity Modifier), Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sodium Phytate (Chelating Agent), Limonene (Fragrance Ingredient), Citral (Fragrance Ingredient), Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil (Emollient), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil (Fragrance Ingredient), Citronellol (Fragrance Ingredient), Buddleja Davidii Extract (Skin Conditioning Agent), Thymus Vulgaris Extract (Natural Additive), Geraniol (Fragrance Ingredient), Malva Sylvestris Flower Extract (Natural Additive), Daucus Carota Sativa Seed Oil (Natural Additive), Foeniculum Vulgare Oil (Fragrance/Essential Oil), Cymbopogon Flexuosus Oil (Masking Agent), Alcohol (Solvent/Diluent), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster), Thymus Vulgaris Oil (Fragrance/Essential Oil), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil (Fragrance Component), Rosa Damascena Flower Oil (Fragrance Ingredient).

Hamamelis Virgiana = Witch Hazel, believed as a pore-tightener ingredient.

Aloe Barbadensis = Aloe Vera, with all its glory. :)

By the way, it’s certified organic by ECOCERT ;)

Go organic, go Nutriganics, aand, go email me if you’re interested. :)

n.b. I also still have 35% of Nutriganics Smoothing Day Cream that I don’t use routinely anymore because of the quite thick consistency.  It’s great but I realized that it’s not really for me. (at this moment I’m feeling like missing this pleasant moisturizer…LOL, melodrama) :’)  If you’re attracted to try, please tell me, ladies. :) Thank you!

Don’t forget to spread the Pongo Message, friends! Save orangutans! :D

Microminihaul at L'Occitane

MINIMOYS! :)

I went to Paris van Java mall last Saturday and yes, I visited L’Occitane boutique again, met the same Shop Assistant, smile again… :D

Without no more doubt and not wasting any seconds, I took a 30 ml bottle of Velouté de Riz Ultra-Mattifiant a.k.a Ultra-Matte Face Fluid (wrapped in a slim elegant box*).  Yippie! I was so glad.

At the cashier, I’ve been given a sample sachet of Lavande crèmemains. A hand cream from their new-introduced range: Lavender.  Another yipie!

My stuffs was kept in a tiny shopping paper bag* that looks so sweet and country-y with that tree on the center and meadow with flower around… :9

*Talk about the paper bag and the slim box, there’s a part of those packagings that contains this statement: in line with our eco-friendly standard, this bag is made by paper from sustainable forests.  Also with the box, but there’s also another sentence on it: Bleached without chlorine.  Yes,the box is broken-white with texture, emboss effects, and Braille (cool, L’Occitane, cool!).

That’s all about my micromini haul.  :)

Now, product review!

What about my new moisturizer, Velouté de Riz Ultra-Mattifiant? This one looks like a soft golden yellow, some kind of close to skin tone, thick liquid (remind me of my Chinese watercolour tubes mixed with waters on the palette…).  After appying, I always feel good because it leaves no ‘layer’ on skin face, instead, it makes me feel like I applied nothing on my skin.  Very light! (>u<) And for its lux price (IDR 380.000, hellooo), it’s worth-it because you only need a pea-size every application for your entire (beautiful) face.  Anyway you can’t keep it too long too, because the storage limit is 6 months after opening. :)

From their Indonesian website, here I copied the description:

Dengan tekstur yang sangat ringan dan bagaikan beludru, pelembap ini direkomendasikan untuk  kulit kombinasi dan berminyak. Diperkaya dengan zat besi yang menyeimbangkan kembali dan ekstrak beras merah dari Camargue, sekaligus astringent cuka beras merah dan bubuk beras merah yang menghilangkan kilap, menjadikan kulit bersih dan tanpa kilap.

Teruji toleransi dermatologis.

In English:

With an ultra light and velvety texture, this moisturiser is recommended for combination and oily skin. Enriched with rebalancing zinc and red rice extract from Camargue, as well as astringent red rice vinegar and mattifying powdered red rice, it leaves skin pure and mattified. Tolerance dermatologically tested.

So, ultra light texture: check.  Velvety: check. Mattified: check too! It mattifies! I didn’t count the time. I can’t tell you how many hours it leaves my face in matte condition, but everytime I see my face on the mirror, I can see a mattified-non-greasy face.  That’s my answer. :)

But unfortunately there’s one OUCH! here on the ingredients list…

Almost at the end of it, I can see ‘propylparaben’ word! There’s only one from parabens species and I know the amount must be sooo microtiny, but it quite surprised me. :S

Yeah, so, I’m being tolerable now… at least there’s no paraben on the Red Rice cleanser. :)  I’m trying to reduce it.  I am.

By the way, L’Occitane, still, you’ve done a good job! :D Merci beaucoup! :*

Other Notes:

I bought this Coco-shiny-hairy on April 2011.  The original price is 79.000 IDR.  The scent’s good! Coconut-y happy.  I recommend this hair shine enhancer as a good hair-styling product with smooth and straight result.  But since I love my hair volumized and a bit messy, I don’t really in need to smooth my hair and making it straight and shiny.  LOL.

So, anyone interested? :)

Dear Pongo Pygmaeus...

Have you heard that orangutans were killed in Kalimantan by irresponsible persons who wants some money from an orangutan’s head? (yes, there’s a reward for killing an orangutan! Horrible!)

By the way, orangutans won’t be there on neighbourhood if no one destroys their habitats, like…forests. The place they love so much from era to era…

Don’t we know that lonely will never be our favourite word? But what if, one orangutan feels alone because his/her friends were killed? That would be VERY horrible! :’(

We love you Pongo Pygmaeus. We are working to help you! :) Be strong, darling.

Support this campaign by reblog/repost ooor to link this post—for a simple way.  You may also make your post about orangutan.  Write it with love.  The whole love and care.

Finally I arrived at the nearest L’OCCITANE en Provence boutique of my Bandung city, and I’ve purchased my dream cleanser! :3

And the nice SA gave me a 8 ml sachet of Gloss Lissant/ 5 Huiles Essentiels / réparateur (I don’t know the right title!) which contains 5 essential oils plus strawberry AHA to repair and manage your hair.  :D

Okay, first, let’s talk about the cleanser.  I LOVE this one! The name is Foaming Rice Cleanser.  Explanation from the website and the packaging:

This soap-free cleanser is enriched with rebalancing zinc and red rice extract from Camargue (located just outside Provence in France), as well as astringent red rice vinegar. Zinc rebalances your skin’s oil production, while the red rice powder absorbs surface oil and reduces shine. It transforms into an ultra light foam on contact with water and eliminates make-up, impurities and excess sebum. Skin is perfectly clean, incredibly soft, clear and pure.

Perfect for combination and oily skin.
Very light, clean fragrance. Non-comedogenic

In my opinion:

Oh, if this product discontinued, I’ll cry out loud.  :P LOL.  The cleanser has the right power of cleansing.  It cleans without making my skin tight or dry or slippery (like a detergent).  The soft light foam and small beads make my cleansing ritual perfect! ♥ After 2 times, I discovered that my cheeky acnes goes dried! It works! :’) OLALA~♫ !

The scent? Very mild and natural!

The price? 250.000 IDR for 200 ml of good ingredients, for me it’s worth-it.  :)

How to use: simply push the pump and let a tiny amount of cleanser dropped to your palm.  Mix with water, hold a foam party, and move the foam to your face. Rub rub rub, don’t be harsh, focusing on cheeks, forehead, and nose.

No parabens, silicons, or animal ingredients. Très bien!

About the bonus:

The packaging said, “(I am) enriched with 5 essential oils and (yummy) strawberry AHA, this anti-frizz gloss effectively smoothes and tames hair, while helping to repair and protect it from heat damage.  Your hair is light, sleek and manageable for a long lasting finish.”

Take a further  look about this brand new product here, s’il vous plait. :)

The word ‘strawberry’ amazed me, and those benefits written are interesting!

I haven’t tried this, so wait for my review. :D

Pour L’Occitane: bissous! I love this one product of yours, and I will try more. Thanks for your availability in my country, and my city.  ;)

*this illustration made with excitement and love, if you can’t even copy my happiness, don’t ever try to use this informatic-artwork illegally using your name.  I painted this with my beloved pencil colours, Snowman marker, and Adobe Photoshop CS3. Merci.
