Share this from Lynn’s blog (www.lovelycosme.blogspot.com).  It’s scary about the world of bottled water.  But anyway, in Indonesia, we can’t drink tap water though.  :(

So, for the best, at least, bring your own tumbler and reduce instant-bottled-water, okay? :D Thanks, people! <3

A dilematic hair accesories from Bershka.  It’s really lovely that I simply fell for it.  But it’s feather.  It’s still some ‘rest of violence’ like, from chicken farms.  Or goose. Or ducks.  And I love them.  :’(

That’s alright.  I’m sorry, birds.  But, thank you for being there for us and thanks for your feather.  God bless your soul! :*

It’s me wearing that beautiful hairclip. :)

these are the few of my favorite things… ♫♪ ♥

a little doodle to fill the plain cover of my new recycled sketchbook.  anyway, the only part of it that comes from recycling activity is the cover.  so i love the cover.  ewh.  be careful with green-washing claims, okay? :)

A Glossy Life

image

Recently, I have two lip glosses.  One from The Body Shop, the strawberry one I got when it’s 10% off in store.  So it was only around IDR 71.100. I bought it last month, because it’s simply irresistible somehow.  (._.)a

The gloss is good, though I don’t know how good a lip gloss should be to be called a qualified one. It has sheer reddish colour and the strawberry scent is really fruity! I love it.  But maybe I’m not that much in love with the ingredients:

Polybutene (Binder), Ricinus Communis Seed Oil/Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil (Emollient), Dextrin Palmitate (Emulsifying Agent), Diisopropyl Dimer Dilinoleate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Cocos Nucifera Oil/Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil (Emollient/Hair Conditioner), Passiflora Edulis Seed Oil (Emollient/Skin Conditioner), Passiflora Incarnata Seed Oil (Emollient/Skin Conditioning Agent), Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil (Skin Conditioning Agent), Hydrogenated Polyisobutene (Emollient), Aroma/Flavor (Flavour), Cera Alba/Beeswax (Emulsifier/Emollient), Tocopheryl Acetate (Antioxidant), Panthenol (Hair Conditioning Agent/Skin Conditioning Agent), Benzyl Benzoate (Solvent), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Limonene (Fragrance Ingredient), Barium Sulfate (Opacifier), CI 15850/Red 6 (Colorant).

I’m not into beeswax, actually.  And I would love it even better if there are more natural & vegan ingredients there. But it’s okay and still tolerable for me.  I took it because I need a lip gloss, and the only brand I trust about being animal-friendly and being quite wise about what they put in their products is The Body ShopAnd I can bring back the packaging after it’s run out someday.  So, I forgive myself.  LOL.

Oh, and one more.  It’s not really long lasting on me.  :) But it’s not a big deal for me.  It’s tiny, I can keep it in my pouch and whenever I need touch ups, it will be there. :)

Last week, a friend of my brother whom I know too went to Hong Kong and Singapore.  Surprisingly, she brought me some souvenirs! There are jellybeans (mmm, yummy!), Merlion keychain, and that lip gloss from Forever 21.  Why can’t I resist it, though I know it doesn’t contain ingredients I love? No, man.  I forgive it to be the unnatural one, but it’s claimed as Cruelty Free.  And it’s in Coral shade! I. LOVE. THAT. TONE. Viva la pantone.  It’s a gift, too. And it smells like sweet candy or bubblegum.  Mmmh.

But still, let me paste the ingredients list printed on the tube:

Polybutene, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Ozokerite, Polyoxyethylene Stearyl Cetyl Ether/ Glyceryl Monostearate, Sorbitan Sesquoileate, Mineral oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Phenoexyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, Synthetic Wax, Titanium Dioxide, Fragrance (parfum), Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, d-Limonene. May contain: Manganese Violet (CI 77742), D&C Red NO.21 Lake (CI 45380:3), D&C Red 6 Ba Lake (CI 15850:2)

Note: The feeling I get when I wrote those stuffs above equals the feeling I catch whenever I see a bad design. I don’t discover anything lovely there.  :’( For being lovely in colour and scent, I give this gloss 8 out of 10.  But for that creepy ingredients, it’s…0,5 out of 10.  Call me extreme.  :’)

Anyway, thank you for the souvenir, still! I don’t even think I’ll get something from you. I’m going to use this til the tube is empty.  :)  *hugs*

So that’s my glossy side of life.  What about you? ;)

*** i made the doodle truly with my heart, so don’t copy it and paste it somewhere else as yours.  it will broke my heart! thank you. :*

Creamy Yummy Scrubby

How long have I been away from toiletries review? Well, you guess yourself. :p

But today I’m here to share about a body scrub! Yep.  Don’t we love that tickly feeling of doing the exfoliation? Besides the good benefits of exfoliation (such as clearing up dead skin cells etc.), it’s also fun, isn’t it?

There are so many brands out there offering body scrub products with additional benefits.  For example: the coffee scrub for cellulite treatment, scrub with brightening effect, and anything else.  We can easily choose which one we need, but as usual, I’m still picky.  Why? Because not all of them contain amazing ingredients.  Instant-body-scrubs in the market usually contain paraben(s) or any other risky preservatives or emmolients.  In other case, some body scrubs with foaming benefits (e.g The Body Shop's body polish) have Sodium Laureth Sulfate.  It’s drying.  And it’s not an eco-friendly material.

Even if they are cheaper, I’d rather go natural-er than ever by carefully choose what I really want.

So, one day, I went to Nicole’s Natural to find a good nat scrub.  At first, I would buy the Green Tea one.  After further thoughts, I put it back on the shelf and took the Citrus.  It was on 50% discount, too! Then, why not.  I love the smell anyway. It’s refillable anyway.  It’s lovely anyway.  Oh, sorry, too much ‘anyway’.  LOL.

This is how the cream scrub looks like:

Some words stolen from the website (http://nicolesnatural.com/):

Ingredients: Ingredients: Deionized water, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea Butter), Helianthus annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Vegetable glycerin, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol acetate, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Extract, Anthemis nobilis (Chamomile) Extract, Querchus alba (White Oak) Bark Extract, Mellisa officinalis (Lemon Balm) Leaf Extract, Thymus vulgaris (Thyme) Extract, Camelia sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, Symphytum Officinale (Comfrey) Extract, Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, and Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Oryza sativa (Rice) Ground, Citrus reticulata (Mandarin) Peel Oil.

Experience: apply to body and use as a scrub, wash with warm water to tone and firm the skin, rich in antioxidants that helps slowing down the aging process, perfect for strengthening and energizing the body.

Size: 250ml

What I feel about Citrus Cream Scrub:
Firstly, it smells like orange flavoured Scott’s Emulsion.  So, from the scent side, I love it.  Cause I like Scott’s Emulsion when I was younger.  LOL.  It’s a soft citrus fragrance which isn’t too strong, too artificial, or too citrusy.  You get what I mean?

Number two.  The beads are nice! It exfoliate gently, I even use it on my face and after that the whole skin of mine get softer.  It’s just the amount of those natural beads is a little random, so we really have to make sure that all surfaces are scrubbed. Or you’ll just get the cream without the rice-beads.

And then? Yes, it’s creamy! I can’t resist creamy stuff.  From edible ones to non-edible ones.  Hahaha.  I love eating whipped creams and cream soup.  And now I have a creamy scrub that is all-natural, refillable, and beneficial.  Life is good, baby! *dramatic*

The price: IDR 275.000, but as I mentioned, I got 50% off.  And I’m going to refill the jar so I’ll get another little discount.  :)

Thanks for reading, anyway! Have a luxurious bath, people! It’ll soothe your mind and you’ll have fun.  :)

please don’t use my picture without permission, fellas <3

Menyambangi Ibu Kota

On a cloudy Sunday, I went to Jakarta to visit my brother and my grandfather’s sister.  And, yeah, to stand on some malls.

So here we go, capital city! :)

That day I wore my favorite skirt from Pretty Young Things (again).  LOL I love this skirt so much! ♥

First stop after my brother’s place at Jalan Kesehatan: Plaza Senayan.  And as usual, my bookworms family  went straightly to Kinokuniya bookstore and everyone’s got silenced by the bookshelves. :))

A giraffe tee, PYT skirt, Inside & Side pink shoes, and Galdy bag from BTC.  :)

Trying to wear hair piece beautifully, but…

What a cute pink shoes! ♥

Then we went to Pacific Place, and after that, we spent some moment at Opoh Yun’s house at Cibubur.  :D

cute pattern :)

That’s all for my Sunday’s journey! :D What are you wearing today, fellas?
