Happy 20 for Me!

Well, well, I’m turning 20 today (errr, like 15 minutes ago on December 23rd)! OMG! 20! Twenty! Vingt!

I have two heads! *LOL, no off course, it’s just an expression

But I had a blast, actually! :)  My brother called me on midnight while I was sleeping and I didn’t say anything while he’s babbling, and I forgot it at all in the morning! LOL.

Mother and Father kissed me on the cheeks as felicitations.  Then I had a cozy breakfast (oenbijkoek, some kind of sponge cake with spices & sugar-free Oolong Tea).  Hm, good!

After that, I took my lunch in Rosti Bistro, located in Jalan Merdeka Bandung, part of Badranaya (a butcher, actually), inside Toko Merdeka (they sell soes and other cakes, etc.).  I was there with my two best friends. :) We had a lovely semi-brunch-almost-lunch! I ordered Snapper Meunier which tasted ‘funny’, I think. :3

Further info about this bistro, click here.

We got fulfilled and talked a lot, and we went to BIP, took a sight-seeing in The Body Shop (<3), tried to search something in Matahari Dept. Store, but we decided to move!

So we caught an “Angkot” Margahayu-Ledeng, headed to Jalan Riau! Then we were MAD in a factory outlet named Lily ‘n Rose.  OMG! All the stuffs are cute! CUTE! CUTE!!! *hahaha, nothing can exactly describe that cuteness

There are cute collars, chiffons, sweet skirts, colourful trousers, warm cardigans, nice scarves, vintage bags, accesories, OMG, I just GOT. CRAZY. LOL.

We were travelling around inside, and chose a stuff to try.  Inez took a casual-but-okay-for-formal-situation broken-white chiffon blouse, Esther grabbed a blouse with little lace and cute little white apples pattern on blue background, while I dropped my choice to a dress with vintage bunny-and-ribbon illustration (oh, I love dresses!).  When we showed ourselves to each other with clothes we tried, we were amazed, in love, and with no resistance, we walked happily to the cashier! LOLOLOL.  One more thing, it’s our first shopping moment! I mean: we, to a boutique, and leave the store with shopping bag in hands! It’s always been our dream to held a girl’s day, but it came true today, after 7 years of edgy friendship. :)) We were surprised that we took photos with our shopping bags. :))

Voilà, c’est ma nouvelle robe:

I departed back home earlier than Esther & Inez, because I still had things to do.  At home, I played with candles…because there was an electricity problem suddenly! (mati lampu!) So I blew candles, but not the one on a birthday cake. :))

Aaand, in the evening, me and the whole family (Father, Mother, Brother) got inside the car and I did rehearsal with SLCO a.k.a. St. Laurentius Chamber Orchestra (me on viola) until 10 p.m. while they had dinner at Glosis with my uncle’s family! :P I couldn’t attend that dinner because of the rehearsal.

But with SLCO, I had a blast too! Well, everyone said HBD to me, everyone sang a HBD song, and we ate cakes! :))  Our clarinet player (she’s about 10/11 years old!) was having birthday at December 19th too, so she brought 3 boxes of chiffon cakes.  I bought 2 box of brownies.  The choir gave us soes-es.  A violin player (and she is about 14 years old!) also had a blackforest cake, and our “Momma” a.k.a. coordinator or something shared her ananastaart, a kind of cookies, which I made for her. :)) So WE ARE SO FULFILLED!

Really.

I went home after that.  Happy and grateful. :3

Thank you, families*! :)

*families contains: Father, Mother, Brother, Esther, Inez, my uncle’s familly, all SLCO members, everyone in the world, oh…we are all family! :D

And, yeah,

I’m 20,

and my ringtone is:

Timmy Time’s opening theme!

I absolutely in love with Timmy Time.

Have a nice day ahead, Ladies! :3

Prepare Your Basket and Eat Your Fruits!

If you ask me, what’s my favourite food, I will answer: fresh fruits!

Why fruits? Okay, fruits are usually naturally sweet.  I easily become sick if I take too much sugar, because I don’t really like sweet taste. :P  But eating fruits doesn’t bring me to sickness, instead I feel fresh and happy plus healthy! :3 Fruits contain vitamins.  Homo Sapiens needs vitamin.  And fruits sometimes bring you a lot of water, natural sugar, and antioxidant!

My favourite fruits are: Banana (I even used a banana shampoo just for the nice smell of that species), apple (and it reduces excess oil too! I agree that an apple a day keeps the doctor away. True!), avocado (can’t resist the creamy, mild texture), watermelon (crispy and refreshing!), melon (sounds childhood-y and Nobita-y since I read the manga Doraemon and saw a scene when Nobita eat a melon with a pleasant face. I was fall in love at that moment, with melon, not Nobita!), mango (Oh, God, mango is a fruit from paradise especially when it’s already ripe and sweet!), papaya (yummy and a good cure for stomach problem), jackfruit (it’s edgy in taste and satisfying in texture)… oh, I love almost all of the fruits! I someone left me a basket of fresh, ripe, sweet fruits and a knife, I could eat all of them! Just like a monkey! :3

So what’s you favourite kind of fruit, Ladies?

New and Improved! :)

Okay, first, I lost my scanner… :(( Wuahh.

Well, that’s not weird, since the scanner is not mine. :P It belongs to a friend of my brother who forgot that her scanner were left in my house.  So yesterday she took it back.  Bye, bye, Canon LiDe 25… :’)

But my Papa said that he will buy a scanner at the end of year.  :D Yippie!

Not just about scanner, I’d like to update my skincare life.  I am recently stopped all my The Body Shop's Nutriganics product because I found it overhydrating for my oily skin, and switch to Red Rice of L’Occitane.

And I love Red Rice so much!

I wash my face with Red Rice Foaming Cleanser twice a day.  How oily your face is, don’t cleanse (with a cleanser, I mean) your face more than 2 times! Except you feel so dirty, dusty (ehm, Cinderella?). Do a cleansing too much will irritate your skin.

Après ça, I let it dry after do a puff-puff with a softer part of my towel.  Then it’s time to apply the moisturizer! :)  My pump-y Red Rice Ultra-Matte Face Fluid does its job nicely.  Simply get a pea size, make 5 spots with the liquid on your nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin, and there you go slide it through the whole face upward or downward or circular, as you wish. It absorbs beautifully with a right measure of moisturized feeling. :) (Btw, I read somewhere that appying your skincare with upward motions could reduce aging. Because it has contrary directions with gravity. A bit logical, but is it work? Let’s see 40 years ahead…)

After 2 weeks living with that moisturizer I talked about, I’m over the moon now! It does what it have to do. (>u<) It mattifies, gives moisturization, and makes my pores smaller! My acnes have been sooo in supertiny amount. I noticed that wonderful change about one week ago.  Oh, thank you, L’Occitane! :*

I mixed my Red Rice with Seaweed from The Body Shop.  Last year, I used to be a Seaweed lover, I tried the facial wash, day cream, lotion with SPF, exfoliator, pore perfector,…almost the whole range, but stopped for a cliché reason: parabens, I mean paraben + s = methyl, ethyl, buthyl, propyl, isopropyl, whatsoever paraben in the facial wash and day creams. Actually they’re a good trio.  Very good one.  The facial wash is gel-like, mild, soap-free, and cleanse well.  Also the moisturizer that is light, soft, cool, satisfying, mattifying, with Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E, I guess?) as an addition, same as the one with SPF with a thicker texture.  But, I had to say bye bye, anyway.  :(

But I keep my loyalty to Seaweed just to one product: the Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask which I bought when I was using Nutriganics.  It attracts impurities from my pores like a magnet from clay combination. Parabens-free.  :)  Good!

Last week, I purchased Clean & Clear Daily Pore Cleanser, I tried it in about 3 days, it removes my blackheads-whiteheads a little.  Maybe, sustainable using will show more significant result, but I decided to make it a weeky regimen only because it’s a scrub, actually.  :D

Another info, I also not using any pore pack these days.  Too lazy.  Sometimes it also make a pimple pops suddenly on the nose.

So that’s my new and improved (improve in the product’s price, actually. Oh, L’Occitane, you’re so expensive either effective!) skincare habit. Let see how long I will hold it the same way. :3 Tell me yours!

QUOTATION

Please take care of your skin, it’s a precious gift from The Creator Master a.k.a God. :)

Bonjour, Decembre! :)

So actually, December 1st is my brother’s birthday.  He was in Jakarta but is heading to Bandung this night.  :) Happy 26 years of life, Brondong! :D

LOL, after all, I went to The Body Shop store at Bandung Indah Plaza yesterday, because I’m a December person too (my birthday is coming in 21 days ahead)! So I took my birthday gift, redeemed 150 points of my Love Your Body card, and bought a shampoo.

Finally, I brought home:

1. Rainforest Balance Shampoo-250 ml, a shampoo with no sulphates, parabens, colourants, neither silicones (read as: biodegradable, eco-friendly, you-friendly, whatsoever)! This one I got is specialized for oily-hair, like mine. It contains White Nettle Oil, Pracaxi Oil, Seaweed, and Community Trade Aloe Vera.  So this company has Eco-Conscious standard which explains that the product is respectful to the aquatic environment, using sustainable material for the packagings.  Good!

2. Strawberry Shower Gel-60 ml.  I always dream of this shower gel at my house, and I got it for free! LOL.  Anyway, the SA asked me to choose between this berry-berry nice shower gel and Japanese Cherry Blossom body puree in the same size.  Surely I pointed to the red thick liquid in tiny bottle. :P I love strawberry so much!

3. Morrocan Rose Gift Box, filled with Morrocan Rose Shower Gel-60 ml, Morrocan Rose Body Butter-50 ml, pink shower puff (TBS calls it: bath lily), and a pair of pink bath gloves (to exfoliate dead skin cells better).  All in pink! I love it! By the way, the scent reminds me of Mawar skincare series from Sariayu Martha Tilaar.  It’s rose! It’s pink! It’s mild and feminine! :D  The only cons are the methyl-to-propyl parabens that listed at last words of ingredients part.  :S Well, it’s not that easy to avoid parabens.  Meh. But I love the fragrance, really! :) Flowery.  And it’s a gift from points, I love gift! Irrestisible.  <3

Thank you, The Body Shop! :)

At last, December come with rain and sun come together in one day (haha, that’s Indonesia).  What’s your plan for December, beautiful girls? :)

*about the illustration? Mixed tools in schedule book paper. Made with happiness of December. It’s mine, don’t steal it without permission. (but reblogs allowed)  :3 Happy December!
