I’m a summer person. I feel alive when The Sun is up outside and no rain. But I still love rain when I’m safe somewhere indoor. LOL.
Everything comes with a risk. If I love The Sun that much, I must accept that The Sun radiates its ray. Along with those ultraviolet particles too. And we all know: ultraviolet is dangerous for your skin if sunken, especially the one appeared on midday.
So, I admit that I need sunscreen, since I often go outside, too! For years and months, I’ve been longing for a good sunscreen. For some logic and passionate reason, a good sunscreen, for me, is the one with better ultraviolet-prevention ingredients, for example: it won’t clog your pores, the shield-agent should be natural or mineral in this case, not chemical. You can Google about what is mineral and chemical. Usually, these organic or natural sunscreen on the market own zinc oxide as the mineral agent. It better be non-nano too, if you don’t get what is non-nano, please keep searching on Google, I’m not good in explaining about that. :p
I was curious with many products before, since finally I got two various Badger’s sunscreen from Lynn. A little sample and a stick. She has reviewed Badger’s products on her blog, so I’ve already known that it should be a good sun protector. And it’s not bad! The only downside is the cream leaves white stains from some specific ingredient on the skin. Overall, I love that sunscreen with natural cocoa scent (and it contains real cocoa butter too).
One day, Lynn sold her sunscreen stick from Babo Botanicals. I bought it. It’s a cute stick with green label and bunny illustration. Simple and smells like apple. It has clear zinc oxide which is literally transparent. It’s not sticky, and months after using that regularly everytime I meet my Sunshine, I think it doesn’t cause any breakouts or any other skin trouble.
I have to say I’m in LOVE with this sun protector.
You may visit babobotanicals.com for further info about this super cute sunscreen and other natural products! J Meanwhile, to make it easy, here I paste the ingredients of that one ‘sun and wind protector’ I have, plus a little explanation.
It contains:
Zinc Oxide, Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba seed) oil, cera alba (beeswax)*, sesame indicum (sesame seed) oil*, copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax*, persea americana (avocado) oil*, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter*, natural apple flavor, tapioca starch*, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil*, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter)*, mauritia flexuosa (buriti) fruit oil*, tocopherol (vitamin E). *Certified Organic Ingredients
And this formula should have these benefits:
# For Face, Lips, Nose and Ears
# Power-packed UVA & UVB sun protection of zinc goes on clear - no more white residue!
# Skin-soothing balm contains certified organic oils, including jojoba, coconut and avocado.
# Moisturizing shea butter and beeswax helps prevent and relieve chapped face, nose, lips and ears.
# This sunscreen is chemical-free and playground safe. It’s sweat proof, absorbs quickly, won’t clog pores and is non-greasy.
It such an out-of-season review, since it’s rainy season now. But, meh, this global warming makes season is just a word. I have rain, super-bright-sunshine, extreme wind, hardcore cold, all in a ONE-WEEK package! Every single day, each with different weather. And if we complain about that, please remember: we, and our ancestors maybe, have built this situation together. From tribal life to modern life, with lots of CFCs and energy, electricity, waste, toxic, etc. Our ozone has broken. Now we’re just simply here to enjoy the effect. Never meant to blame you, and, no, I don’t support another complains and critics.
Now, all we have to do is: REPAIR THE EARTH! :)
By the way, I bought some Nicole’s natural bath products this afternoon. I need the shower gel (that I generally use for shampooing), and because I was soooo longing for lavender scent lately, I took their Lavender soap bar too. Et voilà, I got free gift: Citrus body lotion in small bottle. The shower gel I purchased was the Rose one. So, three ranges in a row. Impulsive buying. Forgive me! LOL. But thank you for the gift and 10% discount on shower gel because I brought back the previous shower-gel empty bottle (the Green Tea one). ©
