Happy 20 for Me!

Well, well, I’m turning 20 today (errr, like 15 minutes ago on December 23rd)! OMG! 20! Twenty! Vingt!

I have two heads! *LOL, no off course, it’s just an expression

But I had a blast, actually! :)  My brother called me on midnight while I was sleeping and I didn’t say anything while he’s babbling, and I forgot it at all in the morning! LOL.

Mother and Father kissed me on the cheeks as felicitations.  Then I had a cozy breakfast (oenbijkoek, some kind of sponge cake with spices & sugar-free Oolong Tea).  Hm, good!

After that, I took my lunch in Rosti Bistro, located in Jalan Merdeka Bandung, part of Badranaya (a butcher, actually), inside Toko Merdeka (they sell soes and other cakes, etc.).  I was there with my two best friends. :) We had a lovely semi-brunch-almost-lunch! I ordered Snapper Meunier which tasted ‘funny’, I think. :3

Further info about this bistro, click here.

We got fulfilled and talked a lot, and we went to BIP, took a sight-seeing in The Body Shop (<3), tried to search something in Matahari Dept. Store, but we decided to move!

So we caught an “Angkot” Margahayu-Ledeng, headed to Jalan Riau! Then we were MAD in a factory outlet named Lily ‘n Rose.  OMG! All the stuffs are cute! CUTE! CUTE!!! *hahaha, nothing can exactly describe that cuteness

There are cute collars, chiffons, sweet skirts, colourful trousers, warm cardigans, nice scarves, vintage bags, accesories, OMG, I just GOT. CRAZY. LOL.

We were travelling around inside, and chose a stuff to try.  Inez took a casual-but-okay-for-formal-situation broken-white chiffon blouse, Esther grabbed a blouse with little lace and cute little white apples pattern on blue background, while I dropped my choice to a dress with vintage bunny-and-ribbon illustration (oh, I love dresses!).  When we showed ourselves to each other with clothes we tried, we were amazed, in love, and with no resistance, we walked happily to the cashier! LOLOLOL.  One more thing, it’s our first shopping moment! I mean: we, to a boutique, and leave the store with shopping bag in hands! It’s always been our dream to held a girl’s day, but it came true today, after 7 years of edgy friendship. :)) We were surprised that we took photos with our shopping bags. :))

Voilà, c’est ma nouvelle robe:

I departed back home earlier than Esther & Inez, because I still had things to do.  At home, I played with candles…because there was an electricity problem suddenly! (mati lampu!) So I blew candles, but not the one on a birthday cake. :))

Aaand, in the evening, me and the whole family (Father, Mother, Brother) got inside the car and I did rehearsal with SLCO a.k.a. St. Laurentius Chamber Orchestra (me on viola) until 10 p.m. while they had dinner at Glosis with my uncle’s family! :P I couldn’t attend that dinner because of the rehearsal.

But with SLCO, I had a blast too! Well, everyone said HBD to me, everyone sang a HBD song, and we ate cakes! :))  Our clarinet player (she’s about 10/11 years old!) was having birthday at December 19th too, so she brought 3 boxes of chiffon cakes.  I bought 2 box of brownies.  The choir gave us soes-es.  A violin player (and she is about 14 years old!) also had a blackforest cake, and our “Momma” a.k.a. coordinator or something shared her ananastaart, a kind of cookies, which I made for her. :)) So WE ARE SO FULFILLED!

Really.

I went home after that.  Happy and grateful. :3

Thank you, families*! :)

*families contains: Father, Mother, Brother, Esther, Inez, my uncle’s familly, all SLCO members, everyone in the world, oh…we are all family! :D

And, yeah,

I’m 20,

and my ringtone is:

Timmy Time’s opening theme!

I absolutely in love with Timmy Time.

Have a nice day ahead, Ladies! :3

Prepare Your Basket and Eat Your Fruits!

If you ask me, what’s my favourite food, I will answer: fresh fruits!

Why fruits? Okay, fruits are usually naturally sweet.  I easily become sick if I take too much sugar, because I don’t really like sweet taste. :P  But eating fruits doesn’t bring me to sickness, instead I feel fresh and happy plus healthy! :3 Fruits contain vitamins.  Homo Sapiens needs vitamin.  And fruits sometimes bring you a lot of water, natural sugar, and antioxidant!

My favourite fruits are: Banana (I even used a banana shampoo just for the nice smell of that species), apple (and it reduces excess oil too! I agree that an apple a day keeps the doctor away. True!), avocado (can’t resist the creamy, mild texture), watermelon (crispy and refreshing!), melon (sounds childhood-y and Nobita-y since I read the manga Doraemon and saw a scene when Nobita eat a melon with a pleasant face. I was fall in love at that moment, with melon, not Nobita!), mango (Oh, God, mango is a fruit from paradise especially when it’s already ripe and sweet!), papaya (yummy and a good cure for stomach problem), jackfruit (it’s edgy in taste and satisfying in texture)… oh, I love almost all of the fruits! I someone left me a basket of fresh, ripe, sweet fruits and a knife, I could eat all of them! Just like a monkey! :3

So what’s you favourite kind of fruit, Ladies?

New and Improved! :)

Okay, first, I lost my scanner… :(( Wuahh.

Well, that’s not weird, since the scanner is not mine. :P It belongs to a friend of my brother who forgot that her scanner were left in my house.  So yesterday she took it back.  Bye, bye, Canon LiDe 25… :’)

But my Papa said that he will buy a scanner at the end of year.  :D Yippie!

Not just about scanner, I’d like to update my skincare life.  I am recently stopped all my The Body Shop's Nutriganics product because I found it overhydrating for my oily skin, and switch to Red Rice of L’Occitane.

And I love Red Rice so much!

I wash my face with Red Rice Foaming Cleanser twice a day.  How oily your face is, don’t cleanse (with a cleanser, I mean) your face more than 2 times! Except you feel so dirty, dusty (ehm, Cinderella?). Do a cleansing too much will irritate your skin.

Après ça, I let it dry after do a puff-puff with a softer part of my towel.  Then it’s time to apply the moisturizer! :)  My pump-y Red Rice Ultra-Matte Face Fluid does its job nicely.  Simply get a pea size, make 5 spots with the liquid on your nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin, and there you go slide it through the whole face upward or downward or circular, as you wish. It absorbs beautifully with a right measure of moisturized feeling. :) (Btw, I read somewhere that appying your skincare with upward motions could reduce aging. Because it has contrary directions with gravity. A bit logical, but is it work? Let’s see 40 years ahead…)

After 2 weeks living with that moisturizer I talked about, I’m over the moon now! It does what it have to do. (>u<) It mattifies, gives moisturization, and makes my pores smaller! My acnes have been sooo in supertiny amount. I noticed that wonderful change about one week ago.  Oh, thank you, L’Occitane! :*

I mixed my Red Rice with Seaweed from The Body Shop.  Last year, I used to be a Seaweed lover, I tried the facial wash, day cream, lotion with SPF, exfoliator, pore perfector,…almost the whole range, but stopped for a cliché reason: parabens, I mean paraben + s = methyl, ethyl, buthyl, propyl, isopropyl, whatsoever paraben in the facial wash and day creams. Actually they’re a good trio.  Very good one.  The facial wash is gel-like, mild, soap-free, and cleanse well.  Also the moisturizer that is light, soft, cool, satisfying, mattifying, with Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E, I guess?) as an addition, same as the one with SPF with a thicker texture.  But, I had to say bye bye, anyway.  :(

But I keep my loyalty to Seaweed just to one product: the Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask which I bought when I was using Nutriganics.  It attracts impurities from my pores like a magnet from clay combination. Parabens-free.  :)  Good!

Last week, I purchased Clean & Clear Daily Pore Cleanser, I tried it in about 3 days, it removes my blackheads-whiteheads a little.  Maybe, sustainable using will show more significant result, but I decided to make it a weeky regimen only because it’s a scrub, actually.  :D

Another info, I also not using any pore pack these days.  Too lazy.  Sometimes it also make a pimple pops suddenly on the nose.

So that’s my new and improved (improve in the product’s price, actually. Oh, L’Occitane, you’re so expensive either effective!) skincare habit. Let see how long I will hold it the same way. :3 Tell me yours!

QUOTATION

Please take care of your skin, it’s a precious gift from The Creator Master a.k.a God. :)

Bonjour, Decembre! :)

So actually, December 1st is my brother’s birthday.  He was in Jakarta but is heading to Bandung this night.  :) Happy 26 years of life, Brondong! :D

LOL, after all, I went to The Body Shop store at Bandung Indah Plaza yesterday, because I’m a December person too (my birthday is coming in 21 days ahead)! So I took my birthday gift, redeemed 150 points of my Love Your Body card, and bought a shampoo.

Finally, I brought home:

1. Rainforest Balance Shampoo-250 ml, a shampoo with no sulphates, parabens, colourants, neither silicones (read as: biodegradable, eco-friendly, you-friendly, whatsoever)! This one I got is specialized for oily-hair, like mine. It contains White Nettle Oil, Pracaxi Oil, Seaweed, and Community Trade Aloe Vera.  So this company has Eco-Conscious standard which explains that the product is respectful to the aquatic environment, using sustainable material for the packagings.  Good!

2. Strawberry Shower Gel-60 ml.  I always dream of this shower gel at my house, and I got it for free! LOL.  Anyway, the SA asked me to choose between this berry-berry nice shower gel and Japanese Cherry Blossom body puree in the same size.  Surely I pointed to the red thick liquid in tiny bottle. :P I love strawberry so much!

3. Morrocan Rose Gift Box, filled with Morrocan Rose Shower Gel-60 ml, Morrocan Rose Body Butter-50 ml, pink shower puff (TBS calls it: bath lily), and a pair of pink bath gloves (to exfoliate dead skin cells better).  All in pink! I love it! By the way, the scent reminds me of Mawar skincare series from Sariayu Martha Tilaar.  It’s rose! It’s pink! It’s mild and feminine! :D  The only cons are the methyl-to-propyl parabens that listed at last words of ingredients part.  :S Well, it’s not that easy to avoid parabens.  Meh. But I love the fragrance, really! :) Flowery.  And it’s a gift from points, I love gift! Irrestisible.  <3

Thank you, The Body Shop! :)

At last, December come with rain and sun come together in one day (haha, that’s Indonesia).  What’s your plan for December, beautiful girls? :)

*about the illustration? Mixed tools in schedule book paper. Made with happiness of December. It’s mine, don’t steal it without permission. (but reblogs allowed)  :3 Happy December!

*For the one who definitely will buy, please email me at the_cheeser@yahoo.com

Other Notes:

I used to be a lazy girl who’s never bothered to have a toner in my life.  But after I read that toner is important, I bought a toner which made me breakout (ironically it should be a toner with anti-acne purpose)I gave it a go for 3 months or less and I tried another toner…that doesn’t do a miracle for me. The trouble is now because it’s too hydrating and maybe, too thick for my oily skin.  Final result? It’s okay as a toner, a bit cooling effect, comfortable, cleanse well, but I think someone with dry skin would be more in need for this kind of toner.  And 30s or almost 30s ladies who already need some aging-prevention benefits

Here’s the website description about the toner:

Our certified organic range has been created for the first signs of ageing. It removes impurities and refreshes the skin without drying it out.

  • Removes the last traces of make-up and impurities

  • Tones without drying the skin

  • Primes skin for moisturiser

  • 98% of ingredients are of natural origin

Here’s the ingredients list:

Aqua (Solvent/Diluent), Hamamelis Virginiana Water (Astringent), Glycerin (Humectant), Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative), Sodium Levulinate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sucrose Laurate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Sodium Anisate (Fragrance Ingredient), Xanthan Gum (Viscosity Modifier), Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sodium Phytate (Chelating Agent), Limonene (Fragrance Ingredient), Citral (Fragrance Ingredient), Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil (Emollient), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil (Fragrance Ingredient), Citronellol (Fragrance Ingredient), Buddleja Davidii Extract (Skin Conditioning Agent), Thymus Vulgaris Extract (Natural Additive), Geraniol (Fragrance Ingredient), Malva Sylvestris Flower Extract (Natural Additive), Daucus Carota Sativa Seed Oil (Natural Additive), Foeniculum Vulgare Oil (Fragrance/Essential Oil), Cymbopogon Flexuosus Oil (Masking Agent), Alcohol (Solvent/Diluent), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster), Thymus Vulgaris Oil (Fragrance/Essential Oil), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil (Fragrance Component), Rosa Damascena Flower Oil (Fragrance Ingredient).

Hamamelis Virgiana = Witch Hazel, believed as a pore-tightener ingredient.

Aloe Barbadensis = Aloe Vera, with all its glory. :)

By the way, it’s certified organic by ECOCERT ;)

Go organic, go Nutriganics, aand, go email me if you’re interested. :)

n.b. I also still have 35% of Nutriganics Smoothing Day Cream that I don’t use routinely anymore because of the quite thick consistency.  It’s great but I realized that it’s not really for me. (at this moment I’m feeling like missing this pleasant moisturizer…LOL, melodrama) :’)  If you’re attracted to try, please tell me, ladies. :) Thank you!

Don’t forget to spread the Pongo Message, friends! Save orangutans! :D

Remember that you are all beautiful! Erase UGLY word from your dictionary. ;)

Microminihaul at L'Occitane

MINIMOYS! :)

I went to Paris van Java mall last Saturday and yes, I visited L’Occitane boutique again, met the same Shop Assistant, smile again… :D

Without no more doubt and not wasting any seconds, I took a 30 ml bottle of Velouté de Riz Ultra-Mattifiant a.k.a Ultra-Matte Face Fluid (wrapped in a slim elegant box*).  Yippie! I was so glad.

At the cashier, I’ve been given a sample sachet of Lavande crèmemains. A hand cream from their new-introduced range: Lavender.  Another yipie!

My stuffs was kept in a tiny shopping paper bag* that looks so sweet and country-y with that tree on the center and meadow with flower around… :9

*Talk about the paper bag and the slim box, there’s a part of those packagings that contains this statement: in line with our eco-friendly standard, this bag is made by paper from sustainable forests.  Also with the box, but there’s also another sentence on it: Bleached without chlorine.  Yes,the box is broken-white with texture, emboss effects, and Braille (cool, L’Occitane, cool!).

That’s all about my micromini haul.  :)

Now, product review!

What about my new moisturizer, Velouté de Riz Ultra-Mattifiant? This one looks like a soft golden yellow, some kind of close to skin tone, thick liquid (remind me of my Chinese watercolour tubes mixed with waters on the palette…).  After appying, I always feel good because it leaves no ‘layer’ on skin face, instead, it makes me feel like I applied nothing on my skin.  Very light! (>u<) And for its lux price (IDR 380.000, hellooo), it’s worth-it because you only need a pea-size every application for your entire (beautiful) face.  Anyway you can’t keep it too long too, because the storage limit is 6 months after opening. :)

From their Indonesian website, here I copied the description:

Dengan tekstur yang sangat ringan dan bagaikan beludru, pelembap ini direkomendasikan untuk  kulit kombinasi dan berminyak. Diperkaya dengan zat besi yang menyeimbangkan kembali dan ekstrak beras merah dari Camargue, sekaligus astringent cuka beras merah dan bubuk beras merah yang menghilangkan kilap, menjadikan kulit bersih dan tanpa kilap.

Teruji toleransi dermatologis.

In English:

With an ultra light and velvety texture, this moisturiser is recommended for combination and oily skin. Enriched with rebalancing zinc and red rice extract from Camargue, as well as astringent red rice vinegar and mattifying powdered red rice, it leaves skin pure and mattified. Tolerance dermatologically tested.

So, ultra light texture: check.  Velvety: check. Mattified: check too! It mattifies! I didn’t count the time. I can’t tell you how many hours it leaves my face in matte condition, but everytime I see my face on the mirror, I can see a mattified-non-greasy face.  That’s my answer. :)

But unfortunately there’s one OUCH! here on the ingredients list…

Almost at the end of it, I can see ‘propylparaben’ word! There’s only one from parabens species and I know the amount must be sooo microtiny, but it quite surprised me. :S

Yeah, so, I’m being tolerable now… at least there’s no paraben on the Red Rice cleanser. :)  I’m trying to reduce it.  I am.

By the way, L’Occitane, still, you’ve done a good job! :D Merci beaucoup! :*

Other Notes:

I bought this Coco-shiny-hairy on April 2011.  The original price is 79.000 IDR.  The scent’s good! Coconut-y happy.  I recommend this hair shine enhancer as a good hair-styling product with smooth and straight result.  But since I love my hair volumized and a bit messy, I don’t really in need to smooth my hair and making it straight and shiny.  LOL.

So, anyone interested? :)

Dear Pongo Pygmaeus...

Have you heard that orangutans were killed in Kalimantan by irresponsible persons who wants some money from an orangutan’s head? (yes, there’s a reward for killing an orangutan! Horrible!)

By the way, orangutans won’t be there on neighbourhood if no one destroys their habitats, like…forests. The place they love so much from era to era…

Don’t we know that lonely will never be our favourite word? But what if, one orangutan feels alone because his/her friends were killed? That would be VERY horrible! :’(

We love you Pongo Pygmaeus. We are working to help you! :) Be strong, darling.

Support this campaign by reblog/repost ooor to link this post—for a simple way.  You may also make your post about orangutan.  Write it with love.  The whole love and care.

If you do things well, do them better. Be daring, be first, be different, be just.

Anita Roddick

Ma Noveau Bébé

Finally I arrived at the nearest L’OCCITANE en Provence boutique of my Bandung city, and I’ve purchased my dream cleanser! :3

And the nice SA gave me a 8 ml sachet of Gloss Lissant/ 5 Huiles Essentiels / réparateur (I don’t know the right title!) which contains 5 essential oils plus strawberry AHA to repair and manage your hair.  :D

Okay, first, let’s talk about the cleanser.  I LOVE this one! The name is Foaming Rice Cleanser.  Explanation from the website and the packaging:

This soap-free cleanser is enriched with rebalancing zinc and red rice extract from Camargue (located just outside Provence in France), as well as astringent red rice vinegar. Zinc rebalances your skin’s oil production, while the red rice powder absorbs surface oil and reduces shine. It transforms into an ultra light foam on contact with water and eliminates make-up, impurities and excess sebum. Skin is perfectly clean, incredibly soft, clear and pure.

Perfect for combination and oily skin.
Very light, clean fragrance. Non-comedogenic

In my opinion:

Oh, if this product discontinued, I’ll cry out loud.  :P LOL.  The cleanser has the right power of cleansing.  It cleans without making my skin tight or dry or slippery (like a detergent).  The soft light foam and small beads make my cleansing ritual perfect! ♥ After 2 times, I discovered that my cheeky acnes goes dried! It works! :’) OLALA~♫ !

The scent? Very mild and natural!

The price? 250.000 IDR for 200 ml of good ingredients, for me it’s worth-it.  :)

How to use: simply push the pump and let a tiny amount of cleanser dropped to your palm.  Mix with water, hold a foam party, and move the foam to your face. Rub rub rub, don’t be harsh, focusing on cheeks, forehead, and nose.

No parabens, silicons, or animal ingredients. Très bien!

About the bonus:

The packaging said, “(I am) enriched with 5 essential oils and (yummy) strawberry AHA, this anti-frizz gloss effectively smoothes and tames hair, while helping to repair and protect it from heat damage.  Your hair is light, sleek and manageable for a long lasting finish.”

Take a further  look about this brand new product here, s’il vous plait. :)

The word ‘strawberry’ amazed me, and those benefits written are interesting!

I haven’t tried this, so wait for my review. :D

Pour L’Occitane: bissous! I love this one product of yours, and I will try more. Thanks for your availability in my country, and my city.  ;)

*this illustration made with excitement and love, if you can’t even copy my happiness, don’t ever try to use this informatic-artwork illegally using your name.  I painted this with my beloved pencil colours, Snowman marker, and Adobe Photoshop CS3. Merci.

Atashi no Soap

My brother went to Tokyo last month.  He was with his boss, a photographer and artist.

When he arrived at home again, he brought us a box of soaps! Well, he said that it’s from his boss.  There was an embossed phrase on the top, written: TAMANOHADA SOAP.

So it’s a soap!

I opened it and surprised.  It’s a ROUND-SHAPED soap! Each wrapped in a white thin paper. Wuuh.

That box contains three scents of the soap: lavender (which is GOOD!), orange (citrus-y fresh), and musk (smells like musk).

The foam of this soap is very mild, creamy—especially if you apply it to shower puff—try it! Rub the soap to your shower puff, and voilà, foam party! I’m so in love with its velvety foam.  Elegant!

Anyway, you can check about this round soap here! :)

A little snap from the website:

Round Soap Made with Meticulous Attention to Detail For your Hands, For your Heart: Round Soap. It rolls around in the palm of your hand, comforting your spirits. We wanted to offer a soap that makes you feel pleasant right from the time you start lathering, and this round shape is the result. If you look carefully, you can see that the sphere is slightly flattened on one side, giving it stability as it rests delicately on the counter. Go ahead, pick it up―cup it in both hands and see how it feels. Enjoy the Aroma. A Date with Fragrance. Tamanohada developed this original blend of luxurious aromatics in a base of natural essential oil. Just roll the sphere around in your hand, and the aroma fills the bathroom. The aroma stays with you, providing comfort and healing even as you go about town. And by using it in conjunction with our Shampoo & Conditioner, you can wash from head to toe with the same fragrance. Treat your Skin with Gentleness.

TAMANOHADA SOAP is made from natural palm oil and palm kernel oil. This soap has excellent moisturizing properties and strong cleansing power. It also lathers well, is highly stable (does not oxidize easily) and is gentle to the skin. Whether washing your whole body in the bath or just washing your face, this soap will bring you peace of mind.

What a cute experience! :)) olala!

Cocolala ♥

I always love coconut.  Its tropical scent, the taste in food, and also the benefits! :D

When The Body Shop held a Buy 3 Get 5 event, I took Coconut Milk Body Lotion as the free item (along with Nature’s Minerals Eye Colour).  It means 119.000 IDR minus 119.000 IDR is 0 IDR! LOL.  I love free items. :3

It contains coconut oil and babassu oil.  No parabens. No animal testing.

The texture is more liquidy then the puree one, for example, their Strawberry Puree Body Lotion which I love so much.  It also packed in spray bottle, so it’s easy to be applied.  Spray and go, absorbs perfectly and leaves my skin smells cocolala! :D

I'm a Sir

Put on a (faux) moustache on your face because today is the time of men’s product! Hahaha. Surprised? I let you, because ME TOO.

Sometime ago, my big brother bought a men magazine in Singapore and he got Biotherm sample as a bonus.  But he never tried the product! So after a long long time, a cute sachet is just being a sculpture or something looks alike. :P Useless, hopeless…

Then me, as a girl who loves the world of skin care, decided to tear off the corner of the sachet and apply an amount of the product inside behind the ear to check for allergy or irritation. And there’s none.  So I wore it along on my whole face and go outside for a day…it’s amazing! It’s non-greasy, not shiny, very light, thin, and fresh! As it said on the sachet: absolutely not greasy, shiny, sticky

The texture itself is transparant gel with masculine aroma.  It absorbs quickly on the skin with a bit cooling effect.

Btw, look at the RIZ Mousse Nettoyant Visage of L’occitane! It contains no parabens, completed with organic red rice from Camargue and Zinc PCA, but contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate, though the source is natural.  Well, honestly, I really want a bottle to try! :) Me and my oily/combination skin would love her, I guess. (yeah, I think that face cleanser is a ‘she’).

Finish! :) Enjoy your weekend.

My Dear Facial Skin...

How do you take care of your skin, dear beautiful friends around the world? Everyone has different way of it, right? :) Some people needs a lot of treatment, like cleanser-toner-serum-moisturizer-night cream-and others.  Others live enough with cleanser-moisturizer.  There are various ways! :D

Today I want to describe my skincare habit…

I usually start with facial cleanser in the morning.  I recently use Nutriganics Foaming Face Wash from The Body Shop, which gives me a mild foam and sweet scent.  After that, I use my Seaweed Pore Perfector, from the same brand, on my nose and cheeks which show some too-big-pores.

I close the ritual with moisturizers.  If I will be home that day, I use my Nutriganics Smoothing Day Cream, with very fresh scent and light texture.  If I’m going outside, I choose my Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion with SPF 15.  Sun protection is very important! :D

In the evening or in second shower-time (yes, living in a tropical world really needs two times shower par jour!), I use the same cleanser, but I have a different moisturizer.  Call it Aloe Soothing Night Cream.  For a night cream, it’s quite light.  But for me, I have to use it while my face still damp, so it’ll absorbs well.  :)

FYI, I have complex combination skin. It’s oily in some moments, but it’s freaking weak and dry when the weather is cool.

Next! Weekly regime.  I exfoliate my skin with Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Exfoliator once or two times a week.  It gives me a smoother skin surface, clean feeling, and happiness. :9

Not only exfoliant, I also have masks.  I purchased Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask and it works good on me.  Very easy to be applied too! :) I love this mask.  Sometimes I also use The Skin Food's Black Sugar Mask.  Only on my nose, to shoo off those blackheads.  Quite good so far.  Although I haven’t found a visible magical result.  But I can see that my blackheads getting fewer.  Unfortunately my black sugar mask is only a sample-size away and it contains parabens.  So I won’t purchase the full size.  No.

By the way, where is the toner?  I can’t use any toner! They break me out! :’(  Even the one that came from acne-free range until the milder one. Sadly.  But on the other side, it makes me able to save more in the piggy bank.  LOL. :) I don’t have to buy any toner anymore…

Sometimes I buy nose pack, for example, this one from The Skin Food, Korea. Contains 8 strips and works good.  But on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trial, I did it a little wrong.  I peel it too soon, lack of water on the nose, and stick it on the wrong positions.  Learning from my mistake, I did better until now the box is empty.  So I have to repurchase because I think it does something for my ‘hedgehog’ nose. :)

Tadaa…that’s mine.  What about yours? :) I do love to hear from my readers about their facial skin regime habit.

Have a nice day! :D Happy Friday! <3

Sariayu

Today’s topic: local brand! :)

My mother has been so faithful with this brand: Sariayu by Martha TilaarMartha Tilaar herself is the founder of this brand and not only producing products, she also does many social things and helps a lot of Indonesian women with her way, such as opening job opportunities, education thingy, et cetera.

I’m proud Indonesia has her. :)

Here it is, a moisturizer with lime (jeruk) that is created for everyone with normal to oily skin.  Not only contains lime, it also has neroli oil as an aromatherapy, olive oil, areca (pinang) extract to maintain the skin elasticity and coconut oil.  Don’t forget one more plus point: SPF 15!

The performance of this moisturizer satisfied me.  It does makes my skin looks matte, the texture is gel-like and very light!

It’s also very affordable and easy to be found anywhere in supermarkets or minimarkets.

question. Has anyone tried the red rice range of L’occitane? I am interested with them. Thank you anybody to answer this.  Bye bye!

*for this illustration, I worked together with random-branded pencil colours and Snowman Drawing Pen 0.1.  Lightness edited with Adobe Photoshop CS3. Don’t forget to keep original.  Don’t copy my result and use it illegally!

And here they are:

mukya-face : face cleanser, moisturizer, foundation, and all products that is made for face purposes. :)

rima-hair: shampoo, hair serum, conditioner, and friends. Welcome to the world of keratin! *well…tell me if ‘keratin’ is such a wrong choice of word

Sparkle of Lychee

I was there in TBS’ spring sale and I got this Lychee Blossom shower gel with discount! (10% or more, I guess…). Contains lychee extract and Community Trade honey, so it won’t irritate your skin.

This is my favourite range! The fragrance is fresh, happy, fruity, and sweet.  ♥

Unfortunately, it’s limited.  That’s why I grabbed it fast.  :D Now it’s almost run out.

For me, who lives in a sunny tropical warm weather, this shower gel is so refreshing! Lovely! :)

By the way, it contains NO parabens too.  Nice, isnt’ it?

*about the illustration, I made the pencil and Snowman Marker sketch in a paper, scanned it, and finished with Adobe Photoshop CS3.  Reblog allowed, illegal-using is not recommended. :) Thank you and have a happy day!

Inspired by Beauty Giveaway! :)

Inspired by Beauty, an interesting and beautiful blog, let us join in a giveaway with these stuffs as a treat!

(TOPSHOP products, pallettes, jewelleries, cute goodie bag…yummy!)

They look interesting! :)) LOL.  Sorry for not making a sketch of those things.  I’m learning for my aural tests while I’m blogging.  Insane. I give all my time for my music exam and I can’t wait until the exam happens.  :P

:D

Actually, I plan to sketch some products, but, yeah, that aural tests don’t let me go from the practice book and audio thingy.  I’ll go sketch ASAP! :)

How do you spoil your self today? :) I wish you still feel good about your body.

To Purchase or To Leave

Howdy! :)

It’s a post without illustration.  Now I’m talking about decisions! Sounds serious? :9

So the topic is: HOW I CHOOSE A PRODUCT! Well then you’ll know why I love several brands more than the others. :)

My first point is:

ECO-FRIENDLINESS.  I’m responsible for what I purchase.  Right? :)  I always search for biodegradable product with recycling ability and natural ingredients. I love Pure Organic brand, from Canada (am I wrong or not?), unfortunately this brand hasn’t been available in Indonesia. :(

AFFORDABILITY. If I can’t purchase, or this purchase will drop my financial situation to the minus line, I’ll go away and find other alternatives. But I’m sure I’ll be a rich woman someday (hahaha), so there’s nothing to worry again about money.  Nice. :P Since the real eco-friendly products sometimes high-priced.

PACKAGING DESIGN.  Who can resist a cute packaging? So far, my favourite brand always nicely-packaged.  Thanks God.

MY FEELING.  When I feel good and ‘connected’ with the product, I’ll buy it directly.  But it need more exercises.  Sometimes feeling and emotions can be swapped.

DISCOUNT.  I love discount and I often meet this event! :D Hehehe.

Then, what’s my favourite product that fulfill my satisfactions and list above? You guess it.  You can do it because I look so in love with the brand.  LOL. <3

Have a nice day and be happy with your existence.  Go veggie! :)

Face Painting

Make up? What is it for? To add some happiness on your special beautiful face! :D These are things inside my make up box (check it out at http://guyuningmaharsayani.blogspot.com/2011/09/impian-masa-kecil.html):

♥ The Body Shop’s Nature’s Minerals Make Up:

Eye Colour in Golden Emerald : I love the colour, I love the texture when it has applied on my skin, and I like the nature minerals inside it.

Cheek Colour idontknowwhichnumber : Feels like wearing a blush on. LOL. No, I mean, a better blush on with natural shade and some amount of glowing microglitters.  It gives you an elegant appearance without heaviness.

Foundation number 4 with SPF 25 : I get everything I love inside this jar: mineral, parabens free, very-light-almost-like-not-wearing anything feeling, and that sun protection!)

♥ The Body Shop’s Eye Definer Shade 03: Taupe : I haven’t been a smart-eyeliner-applier, but after trial and error with this pencil-shaped liner, so far I love this.  I didn’t take the black or liquid one to make a (-n extreme) natural look. :)

♥ The Body Shop’s Define & Lengthen Mascara : Quite good. A mascara in a bottle with benefits of keeping your eyelashes happy.  And yes, it’s lengthen the lashes a little! :)

♥ The Body Shop’s Born Lippy-Satsuma Shimmer Lip Balm : A gift from somebody.  For me, this lovely satsuma (some kind of citrus family)-scented lip balm is a multitalented.  It gives you glossy effect + it’s good for your lips + smells fresh.

What about yours? :D

Biodegradablewipes

I went along to The Body Shop in June 30, 2011 with a plan to buy my Strawberry Puree Body Lotion but after took a bottle and walked to cashier, I was attracted with this soft pinky wipes.

Firstly I saw the price tag and it’s 79.000 IDR.  I was like…uhm, not so pricey for a branded thing.  I took a look at every part of the packaging and found the statement: 100% Biodegradable Wipes.  Oh, damn, without any doubt, I brought one to the cashier! Hahaha! I love eco-friendly words.

So nowadays, if I went home late and feel too lazy to wash my face with water and foam, I can simply take out one sheet of this cleansing wipes and…finish! :D Woah! I love it! <3

Black Bean for Blackheads

Hello there! :) Yesterday I was at Paris van Java with my brother and I visited Skin Food and for the first time, I bought something!

This Black Bean Nose Pack has been in my shopping list for months and finally I found it.  (actually, finally I went to PVJ!)

Luckily, I met this nice and cute woman in store, who explains the magic of any products without any doubt (oh, smart her!) and she said that she used the Tea Tree range and now she’s using one more range (I forget the name).  After travelling around the tiny but happily decorated shop, I stood in front of the cashier and took a pack of Black Bean Nose Pack and paid!

By the way, I got a bonus too.  A sachet of Black Sugar Mask Wash Off and two microsachets of Salmon Brightening Eye Cream. Well, this salmon, I didn’t draw this because I can’t help looking at the salmon illustration.  Poor salmon! :’(  In other time, I won’t use animal-y product again next year.  I’ll be 100% vegan.  But this salmon stuff, however, will be useful for my eye’s dark circle.  Poor me, poor salmon…ergh. And I’ve applied an amount on my skin! Forgive me, fella, forgive me! I’ll stopped directly after all the sachet’s empty and go searching other alternatives!

Well, anyway, I’ve tried the nose pack that smells like bean.  It works like another pore pack.  Simple, sticky, dried-up in 10 minutes and so on.  The nice woman in store suggested me to use it after steaming (or you can dip a towel into hot water and put it on your face to open your pores).  Don’t forget to wet your nose before applying! It won’t stick without water.  No.

For me, it does something for my blackheads! They’re gone, not all of them, but some of them.  And by the way, it’s my first time! So there’s still a hope ahead. :)

Thank you, nose pack.  Whoever invented nose pack, I would like to say that you’re a genius! LOL.

Oh, and why I don’t choose Biore Pore Pack since it’s cheaper and easier to find? Because I got acne(s) on my nose after using it.  Bad news. :(

Wish this new baby’s going to be nice for me.  :)

Citra means picture, or in conclusion, anything connected with visual thingy.

Ramya is ‘beautiful’ in Kawi language.

Citraramya gives you pictures about things that may make you feel more beautiful, and remember: You ARE beautiful.  :)

n.b: hope this blog amuses you! <3

Fun Fun Foam

Hola!

I grabbed my first certified-organic foaming facial wash on May 5, 2011, when it was launched! :D The name is NUTRIGANICS, with ECO-CERT logo on every packagings of this range, and actually created to reduce lines and wrinkles which is targeted for 30-something female, but I don’t mind that as long as it’s natural! (hahaha)

When I was in the store, a nice and smiling Shop Assistant give me a little treat while she was talking about how good is this Nutriganics TM for it’s natural and organic blablabla.

I was impressed with its fantastic aroma! Imagine a meadow, some grass, blue sky…WOW! And it feels nice on my skin too.

I purchased this with IDR 25.000 voucher + 15% discount for Love Your Body member.  What a blast! :3

So far, I haven’t experienced any discomfort with this facial wash.  Breakouts? Nope.  Too dry or too greasy? No.  Well, just perfect! My happy happy skin is available to show the best smile ever! Maybe it will protect me from early aging too.  Hope so.  :)

Cool Minty Lips

The Body Shop-Grapeseed Oil Glossing Serum

Yee-ha! Back again! Thank you, digital camera, for some-kind-of-scanning my illustration. :P

The next stuff I will write about is: Grapeseed Oil Glossing Serum, another The Body Shop's product.  FYI, I AM FREAK about this brand.  I don't know why, since when, and how…but it came naturally one day in my lifetime.  It's a sudden love.  :P

Anyway, the purpose of this smells good oil is to moisturise and smooth your hair by giving it an additional glossy effect.

It’s so easy to use! Simply put a small amount onto your palm by pumping the head of the bottle and apply to your dry or towel-dried hair.  From top to bottom, or just bottom or only top, it’s up to you!

Let it dry as if you use leave-in conditioner.

What about the effect? Happy and healthier hair with faboulous gloss! Yummy! I usually use this before sleep to make it absorbs perfectly (my instinct said…).

And you know what? This serum is parabens-free! Good point, TBS!

Soft Hands Kind Heart

The Body Shop's Soft Hands Kind Heart hand cream.

Purchased a tube during The Spring Sale on April 2011, and happily got a 15% discount for taking another 1 product (Lychee Blossom Shower Gel).  :) So, I bought it on IDR 50.150 from 59.000 (not bad, huh?).

The fragrance inside is just good.  Fresh and edgy.  I don’t know how to describe it, but so far, I like it.

My favourite part of this product is: purchasing the product means raising money to help stop sex trafficking of children and young people. Isn’t it nice? Let’s just believe that this company will truly do something about that.

In the other side, I was just realized that sometimes my hands, both of them, dry and flaky.  As a viola and piano player, I think my hands need a little extra care when they’re tired! So I got a hand moisturiser with social cause to complete my pleasure.  :)

My Brand-New Tumblr

HELLO YELLOW!

I’m back (again and again).

BUT NO, I’m here now to tell you, readers (even a micro-sized and imaginary readers…), that I will routinely put something in this blog! Horrayy!! :D

I already be a daily blogger in pramudita, I share my short stories in cetakcetik, so I think I want to have fun with one more thing: illustration!

Which illustration? Random things like my Deviantart gallery? No, I guess.  I will be focusing on BEAUTY/ SKINCARE/ BODY TREATMENT PRODUCTS! Do you believe it? I’ll become some-kind of beauty blogger.  But I prefer to use illustration rather than photographs.  It’s more personal for me.  Anyway, I’m not so good in editing photo with Adobe Photoshop, so, I’m trying to train my hands, my fingers, my visual quotation… a.k.a my lifetime hobby.  :)

So friends, I will always following my heart, my mood, my wind.  Now that I’m addicted to products, I’d like to write and draw about products! :)

Enjoy the whole-new concept of my tumblr, and…welcome! :D The ‘first’ post will appear ASAP, since I haven’t bought a new scanner.  But I PROMISE to bring this blog to life again.  :)

love,

Ningrum
